Notary Public Fees and Charges
T he Secretary of States sets maximums for notary public fees in the state of California. At Carmichael Box Shop, our fees are as follows, for each signature notarized:
-Jurats $10 These two services comprise the bulk of the notary requests we receive. There are a few others, such as requests for copies of journal entries, depositions and certifying copies of powers of attorney, however, these occur much more infrequently. Notary fees are payable in cash, credit or debit card.
Mobile notary fees are not specified by the Secretary of State or other current regulation. These are considered travel fees, and are in addition to the notary fees for service. Minimum travel fee for mobile notary service is $15. All travel fees will be agreed upon, when the appointment is scheduled.
